Matt Lang is a Songwriter, Producer and Engineer.

Matt Lang started writing music when he was 12. His first band was Cincinnati-based Lightweight Holiday which signed to Porterhouse Records in 2003 after being discovered by Bad Religion guitarist Greg Hetson and Producer Steve Kravac. That same year his band recorded their debut album with Producer Steve Kravac (MXPX, Less Than Jake). This led to appearing on the RIAA Certified Gold 2004 Van’s Warped Tour Compilation and touring on the full 2004 warped Tour.

In 2007 he formed Thrash Unreal, which found an audience as an independent artist. After working with producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount, Thrash Unreal had several successful songs including “Las Vegas Lights” and “My Nightmare, My Ghost”. This led to a collaboration on Thrash Unreal's "Party Control" EP with Alex Suarez of Cobra Starship in 2009. Both Matt Lang and Alex Suarez shared writing and production credits.

After attending school for audio engineering in Los Angeles, he took an internship with Erik Ron at Grey Area Studios in North Hollywood in 2014. During his time there he was able to see up close how Erik worked with bands like Too Close To Touch, Hands Like Houses, and Myka Relocate. Since then, Matt Lang has worked as an Assistant Engineer to James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Paramore, Dashboard Confessional) and as an Assistant Engineer for Kris Crummett (Issues, Sleeping With Sirens, Emarosa) at Interlace Audio in Portland.

Matt is always on the lookout for upcoming artists and songwriters to collaborate with.
